Client Priorities

As the cycles of the economy and the challenges of our clients vary, so do their priorities. Our client priorities at present are, as always numerous, yet there are some common threads. These include:
·         Business Performance Management and Measurement
As the economical pressures change the management pressures for most businesses, there is an increasing need for more precision on managing and measuring performance. The priority is to ensure that accurate feedback on business performance is available to guide management actions. This ensures that scarce financial resources are put to best use as effectively as possible.
·         Business Process Management
Where revenue growth is less likely, working on business efficiencies through simplifying and standardising business processes is becoming a higher priority. This is sometimes in parallel with organisational consolidation. Business process management is an effective approach to these challenges.
·         Internal Capability Development
Over the last year, building internal capability has been increasingly important. Despite the changes in the economy this remains a high priority, with a focus on smart recruitment, capturing of and transfer of knowledge, internal training and mentoring programs, and workforce and succession style planning.
·         Resourcing
The changes in the economy mean opportunities to recruit excellent team members. But the challenges in resourcing have changed. While in some sectors ample candidates now exist in the market, the overall quality or fit level varies significantly. Also, attracting the best talent out of their existing employment is increasingly difficult right now, as most employees have become more risk averse. And the overall recruitment industry is changing, as companies offload high numbers of staff and their ability to service your needs varies. We are finding strong demand for recruitment but in a more variable marketplace.
